As part of political manifesto, the TRS has announced to construct a double bedroom house(s) to poor and homeless. Soon after coming to the power the words have put to reality. The Double Bedroom Housing Welfare Scheme is part of Grama Jyothi Initiative program. At IDH Colony, Hyderabad, the house(s) are in progress and officials are planning to allot the applicants on the occasion of Dussehra festival.

Soon after the formation of Telangana state, the TRS Govt has passed a Government Order to construct about 60,000 houses for poor and homeless descendants. For instance each constituency has allotted with 400 houses and the process is closely observed by the District Collector, monitored by District Revenue Officers and Local MLA's respectively.

At IDH Colony each house has 2 Bedroom's, 2 Toilet's (1-Indian and 1-Western) 1 Hall, 1 Kitchen and a Balcony. The estimated cost of each house would be 37 Lakhs because it has built with modern amenities with G-Plus2/Duplex. Together the project is shaping-up with Water Pipeline, Underground Sewerage, Electricity, Roads and Lawns etc.


The applicant's are found through available Samagra Kutumba Survey data, and the officials are taking care in not to take place any miss-management, so the scheme is reach to the true beneficiaries. The Housing Corporation has sponsored with a low interest rate, and also many other corporation's and individuals have extended their support.
